The Story

Yarraloch was established in the 1998 by Stephen Wood with an aim to create European inspired wines from the Yarra Valley. The winery practises techniques like using natural yeasts, low yields, whole bunch pressing and extended racking that are common in many old world producers. Winemaking is led by David Bicknell and Ray Nadeson who source the grapes from YarraLoch’s three vineyards and well as Shiraz from Heathcote.

M+Q Notes

Chardonnay from the Dixon’s Creek vineyard that was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and old French oak. Extended lees contact giving the wine a creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of yellow apple, pear and lemon skin. Bright acidity and a medium bodied weight.
