The Story

Ravensworth winery was formed in 2001 by Brian and Jocelyn Martin in the high country wine growing region of Murrumbateman, 30 minutes north of Canberra in the Yass Valley. The name Ravensworth comes from the stands of oak that flank the vineyard. Brian has quite a history in winemaking - working for Clonakilla which has rightly been regarded as the leading winery in the Canberra region. This former chef, and and enthusiastic forager is all about experimenting. The Ravensworth winemaking The winemaking utilises small batch production, natural fermentation, high quality French coopered oak, and careful blending.

M+Q Notes

A generous wine  made from a blend of Viognier, Marsanne, Roussannce and Chardonnay. It has bold honey and lemon verbena flavours with  background varietal notes of ginger from the Viognier. This wine is a must try for those who love textural whites.
