The Story

In the Southern Italian region of Campania in 2001, Macchialupa winery was founded by Angelo Valentino and Giuseppe Ferrara who have a collective passion for the grapes Fiano di Avellino, Aglianico di Taurasi and Greco di Tufo. Angelo Valentino and Giuseppe Ferrara have 8 hectares of vines on the edge of the provinces of Avellino and Beveneto where they grow those three grapes. They also work with local growers to source other indigenous grapes of the region including Falanghina.

M+Q Notes

100% Falanghina, which is an indigenous grape of the Taurasi region in Campania. A bright, fruit forward wine combined with subtle magnolia flower aromas. Tropical fruit flavours of pineapple, ripe peach, mango and hints of honey on the medium bodied palate.
