The Story

Kate has strong winemaking experience having been making wine in some of the world’s prime wine making regions like France, California, Chile and South Australia. She was executive winemaker with Orlando Wyndham for four years, which resulted in a number of gold medal wines to her credit. In Tasmania she has worked for Stefano Lubiana and done various contract winemaking.

Her ambition in Tasmania was simple, to make some of Australia’s best, world class, cool climate wines. So in 2011 she and her husband Charles purchased an old apple cool store at Huonville, south of Hobart, and so it began…..

M+Q Notes

The Riesling is crafted from fruit from both the Derwent and Coal River Valleys

A spicy citrus nose with delicate floral and lime notes, with a soft-fruited palate that holds a dry, minerally core.

Food Suggestion
