The Story

Clos Lapeyre is a family owned winery since the early 1900s currently run by Jean-Bernard Larrieu and located in Jurançon in South West France. The family replanted their vines in the 1970s in amphitheater style terraces that maximise sun exposure which is vital to their grapes that are harvested later. Jean-Bernard and his family produce wines that are expressive of the terroir of their pudding stone soils and in order to do that they farm organically. Their wines range from dry to sweet using mostly local grapes of the region.

M+Q Notes

Jurançon Sec is a dry wine made from Gros Manseng which are traditional white grapes of this area in South West France. This Gros Manseng has racy acidity and sharp citrus flavours. Hints of marzipan and grapefruit on the palate and a mineral finish.
