The Story

Alex Bryne grew up around Ballarat and experienced wine making life as a teenager helping his family friends at the Taltarni winery. He moved to winery work at Dominique Portet in the Yarra Valley in 2002, before completing vintages in the Northern Rhone Valley of France, Margaret River and Argentina.His time in Burgundy in 2008, cemented his love of cool climate viticulture. He returned to Australia to take up an assistant winemaker role at Lethbridge Estate near Geelong. Current day Alex makes his very own impressive cool climate wines from vineyards at both Ballarat and Sunbury, this is high quality, small volume Australian winemaking, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir the varieties that he excels with.

Small parcels of fruit are sourced from single blocks in Sunbury at the Galli Estate vineyard, to produce this elegant, medium bodied Chardonnay. White peach aromas with citrus and just a hint of oak.
