A Mano Bianco 2016 - Puglia, Italy

The Story

California winemaker Mark Shannon and Italian wine expert Elvezia met while traveling in Italy in the late 1990s. They later took a trip together to Puglia to check out the old Primitivo vines that are very similar to California’s Zinfandel. They fell in love with the region and decided to stay and start their own winery called A Mano. They focus on producing hand crafted wines from native grapes of the region.

M+Q Notes

A blend of 60% Fiano Minutolo with 30% Falanghina and 10% Greco. A small quantity of the Fiano grapes are dried for a month after harvest. Perfumed aromas of juicy nectarine, orange blossom and a hint of white flower. Well integrated acidity and concentrated favours of ripe pear and yellow peach. The richly textured mouthfeel is the result of the dried grapes.
