The Story

Vinteloper is a fiercely independent winery owned and operated by David Bowley. He is unapologetically producing small batch artisan varietal wines that have been specifically matched with the South Australian regions in which David believes they are grown best, the wines express individual vineyard site and winemaker personality. The Urban Winery Project is a pop-up winery that happens each year during harvest where they host an event with everyday people who join in on the winemaking process. They bring all their winemaking equipment and have people de-stem, stomp, press and barrel wines during the event. The wines are then matured in oak for 11 months before another Urban Winery Project event that unveils the finished wine.
