Pinga Garganega 2016 - Bridgewater on Loddon, Victoria

Pinga Garganega 2016 - Bridgewater on Loddon, Victoria

The Story

Pondalowie vineyard is near Bendigo in Central Victoria, run by Dominic and Krystina Morris. They grow Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz but have a love of alternative grape varieties, and from that, the project label known as Pinga has been created. It began in 2009 with their first Tempranillo blend, that was inspired by Dominic’s time working at Quinta do Crasto in Portugal. In addition to Tempranillo they also grow the Italian varieties of Garganega and Nebbiolo.

M+Q Notes

Inspired by the Garganega wines of Soave, this Victorian Garganega is full of bright citrus fruits and fresh acidity. Aromas of grapefruit and a touch of white flower compliment flavours of juicy lemon and lime, white peach and a bit of minerality.

Food Suggestion
