The Story 

Ciello’s  100 hectares of vineyards in the Alcamo hills in southern Sicily were converted to organic farming after the Vasco family took over control a decade ago. They are one of a few but growing organic and low intervention producers of the region. Native Sicilian grapes like Cararatto and Nero d’Avola are championed and created in a way to showcase the unique characteristics of these grapes. 

M+Q Notes 

This wine is made from the indigenous Sicilian grape Catarratto. The grapes were picked early which gives the wine a fresh acidity and spent some time on their skins contributing to the texture and  flavour  profile. The wine has aromas of crisp apple, bright citrus and flavours of quince and a touch of brine.
