The Wine's Story

Think two Melbourne Sommeliers mates with awesomely talented palates, winners of Len Evans Tutorials and buckets of passion about wine; this is Liam O’Brien and Matt Brooke of Athletes of Wine. In 2007 they had the opportunity to tend and nurture a plot of vines in the Macedon Ranges. With no real game plan what has emerged is high quality small selection wines that show real representation of their terroir. We are thrilled to be able to feature their 'Alto Alto' as it represents a fantastic expression of their philosophy of low intervention and instinct driven viticulture.

M+Q Notes

The 'Vinero' label is reserved for wines which have timeless structure and layers; those that are made in the vineyard – an expression of a carefully chosen site and quality viticulture.

Cherry fruit, medium weight framed by elegant oak, with intense spice and perfume from whole bunch winemaking.
