Ampel Pinot Noir 2017 - Tamar Valley, Tasmania

Ampel Pinot Noir 2017 - Tamar Valley, Tasmania

The Story

Gerald and Helen Phillips planted their vineyard in 1998 on untouched land on Tasmania’s northern coast in the Tamar Valley. They have a sustainable approach to managing their vineyard and their top priority is to produce quality fruit that is representative of Tamar Valley’s unique terroir while maintaining expressive fruit flavours. The Ampel label are quality wines that have a more approachable price in order to be accessible to more people.

M+Q Notes

A light bodied and red fruit driven Pinot Noir full of aromas of cherry, raspberry and subtle dried herbs. The palate is vibrant with flavours of cranberry, raspberry and a touch of spice. Juicy acidity and soft tannins cut through the fruit sweetness and rounds out the palate.
