THE WINE'S STORY

The Curatolo Arini winery home is in Marsala on the western most part of the Sicilian coast. Marsala is quite magical, it is the home of the stunning fortified wines known as Marsala, which has a literally ancient history, having been occupied by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, and Spaniards. It was also the starting point for Garibaldi’s Italian unification crusade.

Curatolo Arini hold the added honour of being the oldest family owned Marsala produced in Sicily.

M+Q NOTES

Nero D’Avola is an indigenous red grape of Sicily that is mostly grown from inland vineyards at high altitudes, that are bathed in sunshine. The result is an elegant, medium bodied wine with notes of red cherries and plums with a hint of white pepper.
