The Story

Adam Foster has worked as a chef for Andrew McConnell back in the days of his 312 restaurant in Carlton then at the iconic Lakehouse restaurant in Daylesford where his interest in wine grew to compliment his love of food matching. He then worked as a Cellarhand with the who’s who of the wine industry in both Australia and France including Torbreck, Mitchelton, Chapoutier, Ogier and Jasper Hill. Since 2004 he has purchased grapes for his Syrahmi label specialising in Shiraz from the Cambrian soils of Heathcote. He has worked on a number of project wines also, such as this Pinot Noir from Hesket in the cool Macedon Ranges of Victoria. He has now established his own vineyard at Tooborac, near Heathcote and exports his wine to the US, Japan and Hong Kong.

 M & Q Note
