The Story

Over 20 years ago Michael started working at his family winery, Kooyong, to make extra money. He ended up liking it so much that he turned winemaking into his career. The family sold their winery and started a new venture with Michael and wife Hollie called Ocean Eight. He spent time in France learning about growing grapes and making wine from legends in Burgundy which still inspires the family as they make their wines today. Their top focus is to make wines that pair well with food, age well and represent the maritime, cool climate of Mornington Peninsula.

M+Q Notes

Intensely flavourful and focused Pinot Noir from the Ocean Eight vineyard made in small batches. Punchy aromas of roasted cherry pie, plum and mushroom. Flavours of black raspberry, a touch of oak and earth. Medium bodied with well structured tannins and blanced acidity.
