The Story

Mount Edward is a winery located in Central Otago that produces wine made with organic grapes, natural yeasts and low intervention practises. That means no fining or filtration and no additions. They call themselves ‘a wild fermenting gaggle of Central Otago vignerons that have evolved like a Band of Brothers.’ The winemaking is led by Duncan Forsyth who partnered with John Buchanan launching Mount Edward in 2004. They make wine that express the unique terroir of this cool-climate region in southern New Zealand.

This is the third vintage of Gamay for Mount Edward made preservative free. A juicy and velvety wine with punchy fruit and refreshing acidity. Ripe strawberry, dried cranberry and fresh raspberry with a touch of sweet spice. Light chewy tannins and bit of dusty earthiness.
