Debussy Gamay IGP 2017 - Comté Tolosan, France

The Story

Comte Tolosan is an IGP title that covers wines made in a large area of South West France. The catchment area of this IGP encompasses a wide range of AOC level appellations such as Jurancon, Cahors and Armagnac.

The region is a part of the Aquitaine Basin – the plains that fall between the Pyrenees, the Massif Central and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, with the vineyards of Bordeaux in the North, this is a maritime cool climate wine growing area. Debussy is a relatively well- sized producer that markets a modern range of Regional wines from some very old world vineyards.

100% Gamay, a fresh light style packed with summer berries, floral notes and a super juicy texture.

M+Q Notes

A delightful bright ruby colour with purple hints. A bouquet of raspberries and plums with hints of violet and an earthy savouriness. Light and fresh in the mouth with a juicy texture and soft rounded tannin. Flavours of black currants and summer berries lead into a long and refreshing finish.
