The Story

The name Ravensworth comes from the stands of oak that flank the vineyard. Brian has quite a history in winemaking - working for Clonakilla which has rightly been regarded as the leading winery in the Canberra region. This former chef, and and enthusiastic forager is all about experimenting. The Ravensworth winemaking The winemaking utilises small batch production, natural fermentation, high quality French coopered oak, and careful blending.

M+Q Notes

Inspired by the beautiful colour of last years gris, they used some carbonic action to bring out the spice and other savoury elements that linger deep in pinot gris berry and skin, then we held a few batches on skins for 3-5 days add texture and finally whole-bunch pressed another batch to preserve the fresh fruit aromatics.
