The Story

Elios Modus Bibendi is a young Sicilian winery located in Alcamo, in the province of Trapani. The idea stems from the passion of Nicola and Roberto, two friends in love with their land, who come from different work experiences and decide to take the family farms by hand to develop their potential. Not only producers of grapes and olives, but also of honey in order to close the supply chain. But their great project is that of minimal intervention wine, which is pure expression of the nature and the territory from which the grapes come. This is how Elios Modus Bibendi was born with the strong conviction that the wine should be produced through a natural vinification that excludes invasive interventions and the use of chemical substances. Producing three wines from  native Sicilian grapes; a red wine from Nero d'Avola, Grillo and finally a macerated orange wine thatblend of Grillo, Catarratto, Zibibbo. The first vintage is that of 2015 is our first vintage, in which they have bottled 3200 bottles of white and 3200 of red. These wines are authentic wines, which embody the land from which they come.

This orange wine is from 15-year-old vineyard, bred in the area of ​​Camporeale, which grows on clayey-calcareous soils. A blend of Grillo, Catarratto, Zibibbo, the Elios Modus Bibendi Macerato Macerato is yellow tending towards orange. The nose is reminiscent of candied fruit, apricot, the orange peel.In the mouth is well structured with a slight astringency given by the tannins of the vinacciolidurante maceration. An acidity that gives freshness and drink. Long persistence. It is not a "first sip" wine, but a slow and thoughtful drink for the more adventurous.
