Brash Higgins ‘CINS’ 2017 - McLaren Vale, South Australia

The Story

Brash Higgins is the label of winemaker Brad Hickey. With a background as one of America’s top sommeliers, Hickey came to Australia and fell in love with McLaren Vale and local vigneron Nicole Thorpe, with whom he now produces highly characterful, minimalist wines from their much-loved Omensetter vineyard. Made from a block of Cinsault vines which were grafted to a former Semillon patch at neighbouring Lennon Vineyard in 2013. This is what all the modern McLaren Vale wine is all about.

M+Q Notes

Translucent purple in hue, the nose is red fruited with notes blood orange zest, ginger, nutmeg and white pepper. The palate is medium bodied, well-balanced and vibrant, the tannins integrated, and the finish is laden with interweaving cherry starburst, ginger and white pepper notes. 'Brad Hickey'
