The Story

Tor del Colle is a label owned by Casa Vinicola Botter based in Veneto in northeastern Italy. Casa Vinicola Botter was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter as a negociant firm that specialized in selling Veneto wines. Today it is run by the family’s 3rd generation and whilst still a leader in the sale of Veneto wines, they have expanded into Apulia, Molise,  Abruzzo and Sicily.  Abruzzo’s high-quality clay limestone terroir contributes a nice mineral spine to our Montepulciano, and the warm, breezy climate ensures grapes ripen their classic, tangy, cherry flavours.

M+Q Notes

This is classic provincial red vino from Italy’s southeastern coast on the Adriatic Sea between Molise and Marche. Deep ruby red colour with garnet flecks tending to purple with ageing. Intense bouquet with an immediate cherry flavour changing to notes of blackberries and liquorice with bottle aging. Mid weight, dry, savoury tannins and herbaceous notes on the palate.
