The Story

Ben Chipman and Toby Yap are the best mates behind Tomfoolery in the Barossa Valley. It all started in 2004 with a tonne of old vine Shiraz and has since expanded to include eight other grape varieties. Their approach is old world style wines with touches of new world techniques and a focus on expressing the vineyard sites. They practise low intervention winemaking and bottle all their wines unfined and unfiltered with a goal to create wines that have complexity and individuality.

M+Q Notes

100% Grenache produced in an easy drinking style and inspired by the Vino Joven wines of Spain. Half of the wine spends 6 months in old French oak barrels while the other half is in stainless steel. This creates freshness of fruit flavours and approachable tannins. Flavours of cherry, black pepper, mulberry and thyme and a medium weight. Could even be enjoyed with a bit of a chill on a warm day.

Food Pairing
