THE WINE'S STORY

Ophelia Pinot Noir is a new player in Victorian wine scene. It is the creation of

Nic Harrison who is the vineyard manager of the Ocean Eight vineyard at Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula, in his spare time.

Ophelia has a distinctly lo-fi feel. It feels raw and unfettered, a very interesting, freeform version of Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir that offers interest and drinkability.

M+Q NOTES

Slightly cloudy in a good way, with a funky chewy palate. It shows riper Pinot flavours of plum, black cherry and earth. There’s a little wildness here too. Fine, coco-laced tannins with a dusting of dried herb to the finish.
