The Story

Established in 2000 by Maria Bianucci and Gigi Garanzini, Bricco Giubellini is the highest vineyard in Monforte d’Alba at 530 metres and the smallest single vineyard at just 0.33 hectares. The vineyard is west facing and planted on clayey, calcareous, marly soil. 530 meters is considered the upper limit for Nebbiolo in Barolo, but as the vintages get warmer the freshness and elegance of the site has become a defining feature. Best of all, cru Barolo at a great price.

M+Q Notes

A relatively soft style Barolo from Monforte with an excellent balance of fruit and tannin. Plum, spice, and dark red cherry with a touch of mint make this a sensational wine for the price.
