Billy Button Tempranillo 2016 - King Valley, Victoria

Billy Button Tempranillo 2016 - King Valley, Victoria

Billy Button wines are grown and produced in the Alpine Valleys of North Eastern Victoria, and at the winemaking helm is the very talented Jo Marsh. Unlike the somewhat traditional wine industry, Jo has super fun making her wines and doesn’t like to create a barrier to entry – her wines are bright, juicy and fun. They’re wines that impress the socks off serious enthusiasts and everyday drinkers alike.

Tempranillo is fast winning Australians over as a red wine variety and the Alpine Valleys is one of the best regions for Tempranillo in the country. Providing the clear, warm, sunny days required to ripen the fruit fully and the cool nights help to retain acid in the fruit.

The fruit for this wine is sourced the Greenacres Vineyard in Merriang South, which provides the dark fruit, spice and firm structure, and the Bungamero Vineyard in Whorouly South, which provides the fragrance and red fruits, in an even medium bodied weight.
